Funeral Services will be held at a 2:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 18, 2013 in Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel of The Flowers for Suzanne D. Roy, 63, who passed away on May 15, 2013 at 9:21 am at her residence. Monsignor Robert Angelle will be Celebrant of the Mass. Burial will take place in Calvary Mausoleum. Suzanne, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Alvin Dueitt and the former Vivian Burge. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed knitting, watching sports, traveling and socializing with friends and family. She was secretary for the Harmon F. Roy Education Foundation. Her favorite time was while she was surrounded by her grandchildren and children. Above all, time with her husband was her most cherished moments. She is survived by her husband, Harmon F. Roy; her son, John David Steele, his wife Kelly and their three sons, Evan, Ryan, and Ian Steele; her daughter, Christy S. Harson, her husband Jeremy and their two children, Ethan and Tyler Harson; her step daughter, Linda Roy Hunter, her children Ryan Hunter, his wife Valerie, David Hunter, his wife Krista and their two children; her step son, Harmon Bryan Roy, his wife Caroline and their children Micheal and Victoria Roy; her step daughter, Cherie Roy Broussard, her husband Nolan Broussard, Jr., and their children: Amanda McMath, her husband Mickal McMath and their daughter; Britt Schoeffler his fiancé Taryn, and their two children; her brother Mike Dueitt his wife Faye and their four children and her brother, Joe Dueitt. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Dr., on Friday, May 17, 2013 from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm. A Vigil Service will be recited by Reverend Joseph F. Brennan at 5:00 pm on Friday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue Saturday May 18, 2013 from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street, Ste 200, Lafayette, LA, 70503 or to the Carmelite Nuns, 1250 Carmel Drive, Lafayette, LA, 70501. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Harson, Bryan Roy, Micheal Roy, Britt Schoeffler, Ryan Hunter, Mickal McMath, Alex Dueitt and James Dueitt.
