Suzanne "Sue" Roberts

Memorial Services for Suzanne Campfield Roberts, (Sue) 86 years old, who passed away on September 4, 2015, after a brief illness will be held on at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers. The family would like to welcome guests for visitation on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 11:30 am until time of services. The Reverend Stephanie Leleux, will conduct the services. Interment will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Sue was born in Utica, New York on September 27, 1928 to the late Reginald Petty and Teresa Lynaugh Campfield. Sue has been a resident of Lafayette for the past 48 years. A 1947 graduate of New Hartford High School in New York, she received her B. S. degree in Early Childhood from Mount Holyoke University, MA. She was a loving mother and homemaker, a Sustainer of the Junior League of Lafayette, a former Board Member and volunteer of the Lafayette Public Library, 2006 Friend of the Year of the Library, a member of ARCO retirees, and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Marc Donald Roberts. Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Roberts Noone and husband Scott of Bossier City, LA; two sons and their wives, James and Jeanne Roberts of Lafayette, LA, and Dr. John and Jacqueline Roberts of Henderson, NC; four grandsons, Marc, Matthew, Austin and Logan Roberts and one granddaughter, Emily Roberts. Pallbearers will be Marc Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Austin Roberts, Logan Roberts, Scott Noone, and Tim Norby. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ron Grost and Edward Zamadics. The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at Cornerstone for all their care and support and the wonderful and caring sitters that stayed with our mother. We would also like to thank Dr. Kenneth Spiller and staff, Complete Home Health and Bridgeway Hospice.
