Thomas Aubrey Bell

Funeral services will be held at an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, December 22, 2007 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Thomas Aubrey Bell, Jr., 46, who passed away December 19, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center after a lengthy battle with cancer. Reverend Steven C. LeBlanc, Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church will be Celebrant of the Mass and conduct the funeral services. Interment will take place in Fountain Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lafayette. Tom Bell, the son of Thomas Aubrey Bell, Sr. of Forest Hill, La and Marie Turner Bell of Forest Hill, La was a native of Forest Hill and a resident of Lafayette. He was a graduate of Rapides High School in 1979 and earned a degree in Petroleum Engineering from LSU in 1983. A dedicated employee of Conoco for twenty years and Petroquest for five years. He loved his job and the people he worked with. Tom coached St. Pius Basketball for two years. He was an avid LSU fan and was an active member of the St. Pius School and Community. He attended most of the LSU games and often traveled with his sons to the away games. Tom was a loving husband and was survived by his wife of 26 years, Anita Darleen Zaunbrecher; daughter, Danielle; two sons, Adam and Benjamin; in-laws, Robert and Claudette Zaunbrecher; sister, Donna Robinson and husband, Jerriot; brother, James Bell and wife, Philicia; brother-in-law Danny Zaunbrecher and wife, Lily; sisters-in-law, Nancy Payne and husband, Ricky and Paulette Boone and husband, Steve; nieces and nephews, Ramon, Nicole, Daniel, Alexandra, Nicolas, Sarah, and Claudia Zaunbrecher, Tyler Payne, Savannah, Noah, Will, and Chloe Boone, Jason, Nicole, and Gracie Bell, Ross Ewart, Amanda and Matthew Robinson. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Aubrey J. Bell and Blanche W. Bell; and maternal grandparents, Jimmie and Maedel Turner. The family requests visiting hours be observed on Friday from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm and on Saturday from 8:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Friday by Reverend Steve C. Leblanc in the funeral home.
