Timothy Paul Michot II

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July14, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery for Timothy Paul Michot II who passed away on June 20, 2025. Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm in the cemetery. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain. All of that has gone forever.” Revelations 21:4 Timothy Paul Michot II passed away on June 20, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born on May 31, 1984, in Lafayette, Louisiana, Timothy lived a life marked by courage, loyalty, and deep devotion to his family and friends. Timothy’s early years were spent in Lafayette, where he attended Cathedral Carmel Elementary School from Kindergarten through the eighth grade. He later graduated from Lafayette High School. His remarkable memory and fondness for his classmates remained with him throughout his life—when he returned home for his nephew’s high school graduation in May, he looked through old class pictures and recalled every name from kindergarten onward. This gift for remembering people reflected the value he placed on friendship and connection. In 2007, Timothy answered a higher calling and enlisted in the Louisiana National Guard. He served with distinction as a member of the 3-156th Battalion within the 256th Brigade. During his military career, he participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom and earned numerous Achievement Awards. Among these honors was the Purple Heart Award of Honor, which he received after being injured while serving as a turret gunner in the first 75-vehicle caravan struck by enemy fire. He was in the lead vehicle and was responsible for the safety of 75 vehicles that were in the caravan. He did this for several hundred missions. His bravery and dedication to duty were evident throughout his service until his honorable discharge. Beyond his military accomplishments, Timothy was known for his vibrant personality and generous spirit. He was a beloved son to Tim Michot Sr. (Pam) of Shreveport, LA, and Caroline Michot Thomas (Jay) of Lafayette, LA; a cherished brother to Ashley Rivero (Nelson) of Youngsville, LA; Brittany Comeaux (Nick) of Youngsville, LA; and Justin Bordelon (Bridgette) of Lafayette, LA. Timothy was preceded in death by his aunt, Ann Michot; paternal grandparents, Louis and Pat Michot; maternal grandparents, Regnelda and Kathleen Alexander. He loved hiking in the Ozarks with his dad and loved entertaining his beloved nieces and nephews with war stories and hilarious childhood escapades, always making them laugh. Timothy was a beloved son, cherished sibling, adored uncle, a US Veteran, and loyal friend. We are forever grateful to God for protecting him throughout the years. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly. Rest easy, Timbo.
