Verna L. Barrilleaux

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2024 in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church for Marie Verna Levron Barrilleaux, 94, who passed away on October 20, 2024. Fr. Paul Bienvenu, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in St. Alphonsus Catholic Mausoleum. Mrs. Verna, a resident of Maurice, was the daughter of the late Theophile Levron and the former Augustine Naquin. She is survived by her children, Burt Barrilleaux, Gwen B. Matherne (Gilbert Jr.), Carl Barrilleaux (Linda), Gail B. Guffey (Billy), and Jerry Barrilleaux, Jr. (Wendy); grandchildren, Mary Ann B. Trueil, Burt Barrilleaux Jr, Stephanie M. Hill (Chris), Gilbert Matherne III (Roxanne), Christina B. Jones (Darrell), Hope B. Liberto (Jonathan), Danielle Guffey, Billy Guffey Jr, (Kristina), Jennifer Hobbs (Tommy), Allen Barrilleaux (Lauren), and Jerry Barrilleaux III; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Robert, Kristen, Christopher, Gabrielle, Gavin, Dominic, Wyatt, Cameron, Sullivan, Billie, Hayden, Peightyn, Bryson, Tessa, Allen Jr "AJ", Mason, Riley, Brooklyn, and Jasmine; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Eula Mae L. Carrere and Deanna L. Daigle. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Jerry H. Barrilleaux, Sr; granddaughter, Jerri Lynn Barrilleaux; parents, Theophile and Augustine Levron; brothers, Alcee Levron and Leroy Levron; and daughter-in-law, Yvonne H. Barrilleaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Maurice on Saturday, October 26, 2024 beginning at 9:00 AM. A Rosary will be prayed at 12:00 PM on Saturday afternoon in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue, following the Rosary, until 12:45 PM. The pallbearers will be Gilbert Matherne III, Gavin Matherne, R. "Chris" Hill Sr, R. Christopher Hill Jr, Billy Guffey Jr, Allen Barrilleaux, and Jerry Barrilleaux III.
