December 16, 1937 - July 1, 2021
Surrounded by members of her family, Anna Belle Landry Vidrine peacefully passed away at Ochsner's Lafayette General Hospital after living 83 vibrant years. Following the tenets of Anna's faith, her family will hold a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Genevieve Catholic Church on Tuesday July 6, 2021, at 11:00 AM before being laid to rest next to her husband of 58 years at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. A life-long citizen of Acadiana, Anna graduated from Lafayette High School before entering the workforce in the mid-1950s. Though she held many titles as she worked, by far the title she took the most pride in was Mother. Those that knew Anna, knew a woman of unmistakable strength and immense caring. She was a talented gardener, growing lemons, dandelions, roses, and everything in between. In her later years, she most enjoyed spending time with the family she raised, ensuring that each one within her family garden felt her love. Welcoming her into the gates of heaven, she is preceded in death by her parents Roy Jean Landry and Adele Marie Landry as well as her husband Clifton Bernard Vidrine. She leaves a vast family legacy behind starting with her children Donna Vidrine Pitre and husband Austin "Ray", Mary Vidrine Barella and husband Jeffrey, Brian Keith Vidrine and wife Jan and Charles Kevin Vidrine. She also leaves behind seventeen grandchildren, Sean Pitre, Lauren Kidd, Aveia Hough, Amy Landry, Kalyn LeJeune, Alise Ponthieux, Erin Hebert, Gage Mayers, Carol Shackelford, Cynthia Grothe, Cassandra (Cassi) Phillips, Clyde Barella, Christian Barella, Brianne Hendricks, Brian Jacob Vidrine, Brittney Farrier, Brent Vidrine, and three brothers, Raymond, Howard, and Richard Landry, 39 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. To visit and help her loved ones remember Anna's life, the family will hold visitation at Delhomme Funeral Home at 1011 Bertrand Dr., Lafayette, LA. Join them on Monday, July 5, 2021, from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM. In addition to visitation, a rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 8:00 AM until time of service. Sean Pitre, Brian Jacob Vidrine, Gage Mayers, Wayne Kidd, Jason Hendricks and Rudy Pitre will carry her to her resting place as pallbearers, with Raymond, Richard and Howard Landry, Steve Vidrine, Troy Landry, Jason Landry and Brent Vidrine assisting as honorary pallbearers.
