Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, November 13, 2021 in Delhomme Funeral Home - Maurice for Antoine Vines Trahan, 91, who passed away on November 10, 2021. Rev. Fr. Paul Bienvenu, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Antoine, a resident of Mire, was the son of the late Camille Trahan and the former Eugenie Broussard. He was a hard worker for Sunbeam Bakery for 32 years, until they closed in the early 90s. Antoine moved on as a maintenance technician for Union Camp Box Factory, until his retirement in 1994. He was an avid football fan who enjoyed watching the Saints, LSU, UL Lafayette, and all college and NFL games; he was also a great admirer of the WWE. A determined and independent man, Antoine never let his hearing disability slow him down. Antoine was married to the love of his life, L.D. Marie Trahan, for over 45 years, until her passing in 1995. He loved his family immensely and will be dearly missed by all. He is survived by his children, Susan T. Trahan (Carol Sr.), Victor J. Trahan (Rita), Joanna T. Regan, and Charlotte T. Dalfrey; granddaughters, Teri T. Lifsey (Randy), Monica T. Landry (Horace), Gina T. Keddy (John), Crystal T. Marroquin, Katie Dalfrey Albarado, and Hope Baughman Shepherd ; grandsons, Carol J. Trahan Jr, Wade J. Crochet (Candace), Victor J. Trahan II, Wesley J. Crochet (Meagan), Damian R. Dalfrey (Brittany), and Brady A. Dalfrey (Leah); brother, Paul Trahan; sister, Mary Zula Broussard; 30 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, L.D. Marie L. Trahan; parents, Camille Trahan and Eugenie Broussard; brothers, Joseph A. Trahan and Mines Trahan; sons-in-law, Larry Crochet and Carl Regan; granddaughter-in-law, Robin G. Trahan; grandson-in-law, Carlos Marroquin; and step-mother, Clothile B. Trahan. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Maurice on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Carol J. Trahan Jr, Wesley J. Crochet, Victor J. Trahan II, Brady A. Dalfrey, Javin Hebert, and Todd Anslum. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wade J. Crochet, Chase J. Trahan, and Jacob Keddy.
