Betty Lou Comeaux

June 27, 1934 - April 4, 2022

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 8, 2022 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers - Bertrand for Betty Lou Comeaux, 87, who passed away on April 4, 2022. Reverend Joseph Campion, Pastor of St. Edmond Church will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery. Betty, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Ignace Romero and the former Emily Louviere. Betty was very much involved in all aspects of St. Edmond Catholic Church. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and a Eucharistic Minister. Betty established the Patriotic Rosary and was sometimes referred to as "The Rosary Lady". She is survived by two children, Katherine Campora and husband, John, and Michael Comeaux and wife, Andrea; grandchildren, Michelle Elliott and husband, Eric, Blake Campora and wife, Leslie, Rachel Cox, Michael Campora and wife, Amanda, Kestin Comeaux, and Peter Campora and Carsyn; and great grandchildren, Noa Catherine Vallejo, Cohen Elliott, Chloe Cox, Seth Grady, Luci Elliott, Bryce Cox, Cooper Campora, Derrick Strickland, and Olivia Campora. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin J. Comeaux; children, Kenneth Comeaux and Rebecca Comeaux; grandson, Kyle Comeaux, and eleven siblings. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. A Rosary will be held at 6:30 PM. Visiting hours will continue on Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
