Chara Lynn Bellard Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Chara Lynn Bellard, 40, who passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2022. In honor of Chara, the family requests all attendees incorporate green & pink, her favorite colors, into their attire. Jeff Williams, Pastor of The Open Door - Lafayette, LA, will conduct the funeral services. Inurnment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Ms. Bellard, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of Kerry N. Bellard and the former Renee Tilley. A gifted vocalist and pianist, Chara's passion was leading worship. Her soul was a bright light of beauty. Attracting everyone around her with her laugh and free spirit. She had a deep love for people, and in return, was deeply loved. Despite her struggles, she always had a longing and heart after God. We take joy in the knowledge that Chara is dancing and singing on the "streets of gold" with her mother, Renee, forever with Jesus. "...Come and celebrate with Me the return of My lost lamb. It wandered away, but I found it and brought it home..." -Luke 15:6 She is survived by her children, Sophia Renee Bellard and Alexander Lee Bellard; father, Kerry N. Bellard; sister, Victoria Bellard Bernard (Martin); brothers, Nathaniel J. Bellard (Homayra), Jeremy S. Bellard (Suzanah), and Joshua J. Bellard (Victoria "no. 2"); grandparents, Norby John and Mary Ann Bellard; aunts, Cheryl Tilley, Lisa T. Eggli (Scott), and Laura T. Konya (Jeff); and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Renee M. Tilley Bellard; and aunt, Tina Bellard. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
