Diane Elizabeth Solano Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 6, 2022 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers - Bertrand for Diane Elizabeth Solano, 53, who passed away on August 1, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Solano, a resident of Carencro, was the daughter of Mary Banks and the late Cody Banks. Diane grew up in Chalmette, LA and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School, Delgado Community College, and LSU Dentistry School. She moved to Lafayette where she began her career as a Dental Hygienist with Dr. Curtis Roy and Associates. “Dashing Di” as she was known to some, was the most caring and compassionate mother, sister, and friend there was. She enjoyed time with her pets, Klyde, Mississippi, and Hudson. She loved her family and cared for her mother deeply. Her daughters meant everything to her, and she was proud of all of their accomplishments. Diane was the anchor of the family and the glue that held everyone together. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Alberto Solano; daughters, Mariana and Julia Solano; mother, Mary Banks and 4 siblings, Cody Banks, Jr., Dinah Banks Hymel and husband, Mike, Dwayne Banks and wife, Gina, and Deborah Barnes. She was preceded in death by her father, Cody Banks and brother-in-law, Scott Barnes. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
