Jimmie R. Martin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 27, 2022 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Jimmie Roy Martin, 86, who passed away on May 21, 2022. Brother Luther Burney, of First Baptist Church - Lafayette, will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Martin, a resident of Duson, was the son of the late Hector Martin and the former Lorena Bourgeois. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pauline Texada Martin; daughters, Debbie M. Kidder and Donna M. Adams (Tony); son, Kenneth J. Martin (Cheryl); five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Martin and her daughter, Karen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hector and Lorena Martin; brother, Rayland Martin; and his dear aunt, Lena, who raised him as her own. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 11:00AM to 9:00PM. Visiting hours will continue on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 8:00AM until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Martin, Chandler Martin, Tony Adams, Mike Ritter, Charlie Stelly, and Hunter Benoit.
