A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 28, 2022 in St. Theresa Catholic Church for Kenneth Lee Alleman, 68, who passed away on March 23, 2022 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Reverend Aaron Melancon, Pastor, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Emma Moore and Kayla Alleman. Gift bearers will be Aubrie Moore, Vivian Moore, and Crystel Moore. Burial will take place in St. Theresa Cemetery. Kenneth was the son of the late Whitfield Alleman and the former Gladys Trahan. Kenny also known as PopPop to his family was loved by all. He was kind, generous and had a huge heart that never met a stranger. He loved God, his family and friends, his church parish, and his ACTS brothers. He was an active parishioner, a church lector, and involved in the youth group at Saint Theresa Church in Downtown Duson. Kenny was a great drummer who had the opportunity to perform and travel throughout the world with talented musicians from the Acadiana area. He made so many lifelong friends in the music industry. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and his dog “Buddy”. He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Reich Alleman; children, Kayla Alleman, Jared Moore and wife, Crystel, Christopher Moore; grandchildren, Emma Moore, Aubrie Moore, Tristan Moore, and Vivian Moore, and sister, Eris Richard. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jason Paul Alleman; and infant sister, Phyllis Ann. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Theresa Catholic Church - Duson on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A Divine Mercy Chaplet will be prayed at 10:15 AM followed by a Rosary at 11:30 AM. A repast/reception will be held following burial at St. Theresa's Life Center. Pallbearers will be Jared Moore, Christopher Moore, Mike Reich, Steve Reich, Rocky Giroir, and Jesse Dunstan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tristan Moore and Brayden Giroir. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Acadiana for their compassionate care. Thanks also to his sister-in-law, Susan Giroir, for her loving care.
