L. Elaine Moore

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 28, 2022 in Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery of Perkinston, MS, for Loyette Elaine Moore, 71, who passed away unexpectedly on January 22, 2022 at her residence. Burial will take place in Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery of Perkinston, MS. Elaine, a resident of Duson, was the daughter of the late Clemmie Eliece Lawrence and the former Loyette McMurphy. She enjoyed reading her Bible, while having morning coffee. An avid gardener, Elaine loved all yardwork in general. She loved "collecting" all kinds of odds and ends. Elaine was always cooking for everyone. She loved her dogs, but was always taking in animals in need of a good home; Elaine was a master at building "dog fences"! A true "Jill-of-all-trades", she was a well-known handy-woman. If anyone was ever in need, Elaine could be counted on to have it. Though feisty and often sarcastic, her humor and personality will be dearly missed by all. She is survived by her children, Bryan E. Moore, L. Nicole Higgins, and Eli Peyton Moore; grandchildren, Aile A. Moore, Ian C. Abshire, Emma N. Higgins; great-grandson, Maddox Bernard; sister, Carol L. Fore (Olen); brothers, Ronnie Lawrence (Julia), Kenneth Lawrence (Ann), and Mitchell Lawrence (Mary); sister-in-law, Ranae Lawrence; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family & loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clemmie Eliece and Loyette Lawrence, and brother, Michael Lawrence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Pallbearers will be her family.
