Mary Dana Lemons Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Mary Dana Lemons, 59, who passed away on February 7, 2021. Fr. Daniel Chowning, of Rome, will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Mary Dana, a lifelong resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of Peter John Saab and the former Marilyn "Lynn" Thomas. A graduate of Lafayette High School, Class of 1980, Dana worked as a contract-auditor until her retirement. She was very active in the community and her church. From St. Jude's Children Hospital to various charitable organizations, Dana loved serving others, especially her family and their children. She loved to cook, crochet and work in her yard; Dana loved any kind of garden work. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Michael L. Lemons; step-daughter, Kelli L. Trent (Jason); step-son, Kody Ryan Lemons; 5 step-grandchildren; sister, Denise S. Roeder (Gary), Theresa Saab and Genie Lynn Saab; brothers, Peter Thomas Saab (Gina) and Michael Saab (Simonne). The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM on Wednesday morning in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kody Lemons, Tyler Demette, Peter Saab Jr, Nicholas Saab, Drew Saab, Max Roeder, Tristen Szymanski and Mikey Saab. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Dana's memory to St. Jude's Children Hospital, MD Anderson and the Carmelite Monastery of Lafayette, LA.
