Reneé Marie Tilley Bellard

March 15, 1960 - February 1, 2022

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 7, 2022 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Reneé Marie Tilley Bellard, 61, who passed away unexpectedly on February 1, 2022. In honor of Reneé, the family requests all attendees incorporate purple, her favorite color, into their attire. Chap Gary, Worship Pastor of The Open Door Church - Lafayette, will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Bellard, a long-time resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late William Anderson Tilley and the former Patricia Henry. Originally from Clio, Michigan, Reneé moved down to Louisiana in 1979. She quickly adopted "Cajun Culture" as her own, but still held on fiercely to her "yankee" roots. Reneé lived life to the fullest, always smiling and dancing. She was always quick to lend a helping hand to whomever may be in need. Reneé approached life as her ministry, sharing Jesus and serving others as He would; if you knew her, your life was changed in some way, a mother-to-all. She loved her family with an absolute devotion, a warrior spirit that permeated all her endeavors. In all she did, Reneé chose to glorify God through her words and actions, a life "set-apart". Faithful to the end. "We rejoice in the knowledge that our loving mother, grandmother, and friend has gone to be with her Lord and Savior. We are saddened by the loss that we feel because she is no longer here to share in our lives, although she will always be in our hearts. Her gift to the world is us, her children and grandchildren." She is survived by her children, Chara L. Bellard, Nathaniel J. Bellard (Homayra), Jeremy S. Bellard (Suzanah), Victoria B. Bernard (Martin), and Joshua J. Bellard (Victoria "no. 2"); grandchildren, Cohen Bellard, Sophia Bellard, Adam Bellard, Valentino Bellard, Alexander "Alex" Bellard, Solomon Bernard, Savannah Bellard, and Wren Bellard; sisters, Cheryl T. Resweber, Lisa T. Eggli (Scott), and Lori T. Konya (Jeff); and the father of her children, Kerry N. Bellard. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Patricia Tilley. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Visiting hours will continue on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 8:00 AM until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Nathaniel J. Bellard, Jeremy S. Bellard, Joshua J. Bellard, Martin N. Bernard Jr., Chris S. Raborn, M. Neal Bernard Sr., and Stefan M. Bernard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cohen Bellard, Adam Bellard, Valentino Bellard, Alexander Bellard, and Solomon Bernard. The family would like to thank the ICU nurses of Our Lady of Lourdes RMC, who prayed with her and tenderly cared for her, during her time of need.
