Shirley Ann Gremillion Dailey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

To celebrate the life of Shirley Ann Gremillion Dailey of Lafayette, LA born August 15. A funeral service will be held in Delhomme Funeral Home’s Chapel of the Flowers- Bertrand on Friday, June 17th, 2022 at 12:00 noon. She departed this earth peacefully on June 13th, 2022 in her home with the care of Traditions Health-Hospice of Acadiana. Left to treasure her memories are her two sons, Thomas Dirk Dailey, wife Tina Dailey of Lafayette, LA, and Dwayne Paul Dailey, wife Felicia Yockey Dailey of Lafayette, LA; four grandchildren, Dwayne Michael Dailey, Tiffany Lynn Dailey Taylor, husband Chistopher Taylor of Leeds, UK, Thomas Dirk Elson Dailey, and Beck Lee Dailey of Lafayette, LA’ two great-grandchildren, Anne Marie Dailey and Axel James Taylor; two step-granddaughters, 8 step-grandchildren, and sister, Dianne Jusselin of Bunkie, LA. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Patrice Dailey of Lafayette, LA; parents Elson “Snub” and Vivian Gremillion of Cottonport, LA; and best friend, Janis Smith Duke of Jena, LA. She graduated from Southwestern Louisiana Institute in 1957 on a scholarship. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. She worked as an Executive Secretary in the oil industry for 8 years. She went back ULL to study French. During that time, she loved to snow ski, hunting, fishing, dancing, and traveling with her family. Later, she enjoyed shopping, working in her garden, Interior decorating, reading, visiting Destin, FL, watching UL, LSU, and New Orleans Saints football. Most of all, she loved her precious time with her family and was overly proud of them. The family requests visitation on Friday, June 17th, 2022 from 8:00 AM until time of service. The family wants to give great thanks to Traditions Health-Hospice of Acadiana, Ms. Louise Guidry and Ms. Nicole Harrison for the tender/continuous care.
