Terri Lynn Fontenot Arriaga Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Terri Lynn Fontenot Arriaga was born on May 14, 1982 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Lee Alma Smith and Linton Fontenot. She attended school in East Baton Rouge school system where she grew up. In 2016, Terri Fontenot married the man of her dreams making her, Terri Lynn Fontenot Arriaga. The man who made this happen was Mr. Jesus’ Arriaga, Jr. Terri was a wonderful and magnificent wife to her husband Jesus’ and an awesome mother to her beautiful children, Taylor Ryian Wilson, Nadia Lee Chisties, McKenzie Cole Begnaud and towards her two step-children, Virginia Carey Arriaga and Mio Jesus’ Arriaga. Terri had a real fond passion for fashion. She was considered a girly girl from the time she was little to the time she was finishing high school. She absolutely cared about how she carried herself. You couldn’t even go to the Dollar Store without her putting make-up on. It wasn’t hard to believe she was voted best dressed at school or the fact that she was Tara High’s class of 2000 Senior Prom Queen. With that sense of style, she decided to attend beauty school. Even though her health didn’t allow her to finish; she had so much fun in that profession. Terri is survived by her husband, Jesus’ Arriaga, Jr.; her three children, Taylor Wilson, Nadia Chisties, and McKenzie Begnaud; her mother, Lee (Tommie) Smith and her father, Linton Fontenot; her sister, Carolyn Bernard; her sister, Amber and her husband; her two younger brothers, Twasky (Shanequa) Fontenot and Taegyn Fontenot; she was also survived by a host of aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, god-parents and along with a host of friends who will forever remember her. Terri is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Preston Perkins, Sr. and Emma Perkins and paternal grandparents, Carlton and Nedia Fontenot. A visitation will be held at Delhomme Funeral Home- Bertrand on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM.
