Carl J. Foreman

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church -Leroy for Carl Jerome Foreman, 85, who passed away on January 30, 2026. Fr. Paul Bienvenu, Pastor of St. Alphonsus and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Churches, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in St. Leo IV Catholic Cemetery - Robert’s Cove, LA. Mr. Carl, a longtime resident of Indian Bayou, was the son of the late Winfred Foreman and the former Renola Vincent. He grew up on the family farm and when he graduated high school in 1958 he joined the US Army and spent 3 years in Germany in the 24th Infantry Division. After his service, he attended Lamar State College of Technology in Beaumont and earned certification as a diesel engine mechanic. After a few years, he got a job with Shell Oil Company and became an electrician and an HVAV technician, all through correspondence courses. He worked offshore for Shell Oil for about 30 years. During his time at Shell, in 1988 he was selected to be a member of the team that developed the operation and production of the Augur Platform which was a deep water tension leg platform, the first of its kind in the Gulf of America. In 1964 he married his wife Mary and they raised 4 sons. Carl was a dedicated husband, father and peepaw who loved his family and dearly loved his grandchildren who dearly loved him. Upon retirement, he and Mary enjoyed many days traveling and seeing the U.S. in their motor home. He also enjoyed his Snap Fit community where he worked out several time a week. Carl was a dedicated daily communicant and attendee of mass which inspired so many and gives his family much comfort at this time. He remained active doing yard work and visiting with friends until he died suddenly during the early morning of January 30. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Mary Jo Zaunbrecher Foreman; sister, Winnie Ruth (Melvin) Marceaux; brothers, Allen W. Foreman, Michael R. (Angella) Foreman; sons, Christopher J. Foreman, Mark G. (Mary) Foreman, Keith B. (Lisa) Foreman, and Jason P. (Misty) Foreman; grandchildren, Alexandra F.(Tyler) Davis, Katheryn F. (Austin) McConnell, Mark G. Foreman Jr, Matthew J. Foreman, Laura F. (Chris) Arriola, Luke A. (Anna) Foreman, Hannah T. Foreman, Joseph M. Foreman, Sarah M. Foreman, Elizabeth A. Foreman, Emily K. Foreman, Emma G. Foreman, and Aidan N. Foreman; great-grandchildren, Cecilia, Evelyn, Felicity, Claire, Gianna, Theodore, and Carlo; and lastly his siblings, Ruth F. (Melvin) Marceaux, Allen Foreman, and Michael (Angela) Foreman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred and Renola Foreman; and brother, Gregory Foreman. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Maurice on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 beginning at 9:00 AM. A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM on Wednesday morning in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue, following the Rosary, until 12:15 PM. Pallbearers will be Mark G. Foreman Jr, Matthew Foreman, Luke Foreman, Joseph Foreman, Aidan Foreman, and Darren Launey.
