Lafayette - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at St. Edmond Catholic Church for Mrs. Carmen “Connie” Rose Kidder Miller, 82, who passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Father Joe Campion, Pastor of St. Edmond Catholic Church will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Reading from scripture will be her sons, Kyle and Mark Miller. Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mrs. Connie, a resident of Lafayette until 2022 and Red Oak, Texas since, was the daughter of the late Pierre Lenny Kidder and Evelyn Noel Kidder of Arnaudville. Connie was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, her Shih-Tzus, Elvis on the radio, and celebrating family and community over her own home-cooked meals. Whatever she was doing, she brought a wonderful smile that could bring joy to any room. She is survived by sons, Mark Kevin Miller and wife Kimberly, Sean Patrick Miller and wife Judy, Brian James Miller and wife Daria, Grover Paul Miller and wife Stacey, Kyle Anthony Miller and wife Paula, Matthew Todd Miller and wife Patty; grandchildren, Patrick, Megan, Matthew, Jarod, Julian, Lauren, Gabriel, Ani, Annabelle, Austen, Thomas, Evelyn, Trenton; great grandson, Aldous; and siblings, Elsie Anne Rome, Raphael Floyd Kidder and wife Merline, Mary Ellen “Mimi” Walters, and Margaret Grace Maher and husband Tommy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover James Miller; her infant son, Kenneth Paul Miller; her siblings Jane Elizabeth Crawford, Leonard Lee Kidder, and Judy Louise Mooberry; and her parents Pierre Lenny Kidder and Evelyn Noel Kidder. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary led by her son Sean Miller at 6:00 pm in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue at Delhomme Funeral Home on Saturday morning from 8:00 am until 9:30 am, prior to the time of service. Pallbearers will be her six sons, Mark, Sean, Brian, Paul, Kyle and Todd Miller.
