Clayton Earl Beadle

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 4, 2006 at 3:00 PM in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Clayton Earl Beadle, 69, who passed away August 2, 2006 at Medical Center of Southwest Louisiana. Interment will be held at Port Hudson Cemetery in Zachary, LA. Mr. Beadle was the son of the late Clayton Reams Beadle and the former Effie Mae Byrd. He retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service. He served three tours in Vietnam with several honors including the Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Germany), Vietnam Service Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal. Mr. Beadle served his country with honor. Clayton was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He had special love for his family and dog companion Precious. He enjoyed fishing and cooking, and spending special moments with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Frederick Beadle; four daughters, Glenda Delahoussaye and husband, Jeff, Kim Hebert and husband, Paul, Rhonda Deville and husband, Bryan, Cricket Patin and husband, Dwayne; one son Clayton Charles Beadle and wife, Abby; ten grandchildren, Joseph Hebert, Brooke LeBlanc, Heather Delahoussaye, Courtney Beadle, Stephanie Blanchard, Joshua Hebert, Adam Delahoussaye, Crystal Patin, Kristopher Patin, Paige Dwyer; two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie LeBlanc, Diego Padilla; two sisters, Jean Judice, Ruth Crouchet; and two brothers, Thomas Beadle and wife, Karin, and Johnny Beadle and wife, Carol. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and one grandchild. Visiting hours will be observed Friday from 8:00 AM until services at 3:00 PM. Honorary Pallbearers will include Clayton Charles Beadle, Jeffery Paul Delahoussaye, Paul Edward Hebert, Bryan Jude Deville, Dwayne James Patin, Joseph Paul Hebert, Joshua David Hebert, Adam Paul Delahoussaye, and Kristopher James Patin. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Alcoholics Anonymous, 115 Leonie Street, Lafayette, LA 70506.
