Eva Dell Cormier

Funeral Services will be held at an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, February 6, 2012 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church for Eva Dell Cormier, 72, who passed away peacefully on February 3, 2012 at 2:50 am at her residence surrounded by her family. Reverend O. Joseph Breaux, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in St. Basil Cemetery. Ms. Cormier, native and lifelong resident of the Judice area, was the daughter of the late Edwin Hollier of Carencro, Louisiana and the former Mabel Faul of Carencro, Louisiana. She was a loving mom, granny and friend who will be missed by all as well as her loving dog, Bubbles. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Keith (Darlene) Broussard of Judice, LA, and Ms. Christine C. Veronie and fianc'' Bo Miller of Judice, LA; two sons, Lawrence "Tee" Cormier and wife Sandra of Youngsville, LA, and Raymond Cormier, Jr. and wife Selena of Maurice, LA;11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 4 sisters, Mrs. Maudrey (Dennis) Peterson, Mrs. Etheline (Gayln) Hubbard, Ms. Joyce Begnaud and Azelia Royer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond "PeeWee" Cormier, Sr,; daughter, Ethel Landry and son in law Leonard "Radar" Landry; one grandson, Dwayne Paul Cormier and two brothers, John Hollier and LeRoy Hollier. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Maurice on Saturday from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and on Sunday from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm and will resume on Monday from 9:00 am until time of services. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Cormier, Bo Miller, Raymond Cormier, III, Nicholas Broussard, Derek Arabie, Chane Menard, Jules Ardoin, Michael Turki, Kamerin Ardoin and Justin Roe. Honorary pallbearers will be Galyn Hubbard, Sr., Dennis Peterson and Raymond Cormier, Jr. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Dr. Michael Alexander, Acadian Home Health and Hospice and Pallative Care of Opelousas. They would also like to extend a very special thank you to Christine, Bo, Danielle, Bridget, Desire' and Nicole for their special care given to Ms. Cormier during her time of need.
