Fidney Felix Trahan

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Maurice, LA for Fidney Felix Trahan, 91, who passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 6:57 am at Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Maurice, LA Reverend O. Joseph Breaux, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Fidney, a resident of Maurice, LA was the son of the late Eusbue Trahan and the former Edna Vincent. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather great grandfather and he never met a stranger. Fidney proudly served his country during W.W. II having served in the 87th Infantry Division in U.S. Army; he served the Maurice community as a Volunteer Fire Fighter as one of the founding members. He enjoyed gardening in his spare time. He is survived by his daughters, Ginger T. Adams and husband Chester and Brenda T. Dronet; his sons, Stanley Trahan and wife Nancy and David Trahan and wife Suzette; two step daughters, Barbara Duhon and Jane Baudoin; one step-son, Jerry Domingue; his twenty four grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; his brother, Sidney Trahan. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of thirty one years Zula Broussard Trahan, his second wife, of thirty years Laura Leblanc Trahan, his son, Michael F. Trahan, his brother, Stanley Trahan and his son-in-law, Michael Dronet. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Maurice on Monday, April 7, 2014 from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 7:15 pm on Monday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 8:00 am until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Tobias, Heith and Jonas Adams, Christian Trahan, Trent Guidry and Ian L. T. Trahan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gerald Broussard, Christopher Zumbek, Ryan Duhon, Jeremy and Taylor Badeaux, Quintin Zukywich and Chaz Duhon LeBlanc.
