Floyd Joseph Patin

Funeral Services will be held at an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 23, 2011 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Floyd Joseph Patin, Sr., 93, who passed away on June 19, 2011 at 11:55 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Reverend Kenneth Domingue, Pastor of St. Catherine Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Patin, a resident of Butte LaRose, LA, was the son of the late Armand Patin and the former Isabella Champagne both of St. Martin Parish, Louisiana. He was a loving father and grandfather who loved hunting, fishing, horses and spending time with his family. He was also the owner of Lewis Sign Company in Lafayette. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by two sons, Floyd "Mickey" Patin, Jr. of Cuernavaca, Mexico, Buster Patin and wife Xin of Livingston, TX; five daughters, Carolyn Patin of Butte LaRose, LA, Susan Patin Crawford of Pleasant Grove, AL, Kay Patin Powers of Lafayette, LA, Renee Patin Botts and husband Dennis of Pineville, LA, Tammy Patin Rivoire and husband Dwayne of Duson, LA; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Patin Jenkins of Baton Rouge, LA; one brother, Dudley Patin and wife Maggie of Lafayette, LA and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Norene Laws; his wife Verna Breaux; brother, George B. Patin and six sisters, Orleans Patin Connor, Helen Patin Boulanger, Alma Patin Duplantis, Anna Belle "Addy" Patin, Lena Patin Rivette and Hazel Patin Posey. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening. Visitation will continue on Thursday at 8:00 am until the time of services. Pallbearers will be Greg Boulanger, Bobby Jenkins, Rod Perron, Dwayne Rivoire, Jeremiah Matthieu and Ricky Castille. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Naumann, William "Bill" Davis, Alton Herring and John Abdella. Special thanks to Dr. David Booher, the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes, Hospice of Acadiana, his caregivers, Dee Montgomery, and the late JoAnn Bellard.
