A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, May 8, 2023, in St. Basil Catholic Church - Judice for Gladys B. Menard, 100, who passed away on May 5, 2023. Reverend Donavan Labbe, Pastor, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in St. Basil Mausoleum. Born on October 31, 1922, Gladys was a lifelong resident of Judice, LA where she raised her children and helped raise her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandma to all. Gladys, a resident of Judice, was the daughter of the late Gladu Broussard and the former Estelle Simon. She is survived by her daughter in law, Margaret Taylor Menard; grandchildren, Keith Menard (Rosanna), Teressa Richard (Marcus), Darlene Arabie (Keith), Kevin Menard , Keenan Menard (Jennifer), Jason Menard (Roxanne), Chris Menard, and Jude Menard (Adelina); great grandchildren, Nicole Foucheaux (Donald), Darian Menard (Tony), Kaysha Alleman (Kolby), Dedrick Richard, Trent Richard (Allyson), Jarett Richard, Derek Arabie (Natalie), Amanda Mire (Justin), Jereme' Menard (Rebecca), Justin Menard, Manny Menard, Mia Brasseaux, and Ame'lie Menard; great great grandchildren, Autumn Prejean, Dax Prejean, Bently Alleman, Dawson Foucheaux, Charleigh Foucheaux, Brenly Alleman, Noah Richard, Caroline Richard, Lillyann Richard, Wilder Richard, Bowen Richard, Addison Arabie, Brayden Arabie, Rustin Mire, Gabriella Broussard, Jaci Mire, Ella Menard, Aubrey Menard, Andy Menard, C.J. Menard, Alex Menard, and Braxton Paris, and one sister, Anna Mae Vincent. She was preceded in death by parents; husband of 81.5 years, Wallace Menard; sons, Wilbert Menard and Robert Menard; daughter, Mary Grace Menard as well as 5 siblings. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Sunday, May 7, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM on Sunday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue Monday, May 8, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 11:15 AM. Pallbearers will be Keenan Menard, Kevin Menard, Jason Menard, Jude Menard, Chris Menard, and Donald Foucheaux. Honorary Pallbearers will be Keith Menard, Keith Arabie, and Marcus Richard.
