Lee Anna Manuel McCauley

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 10, 2025 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Lee Anna McCauley, 88, who passed away on November 6, 2025. Fr. Steve LeBlanc will conduct the funeral services. Mrs. McCauley, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Maurice Manuel and the former Bathilde Dossman. Lee Anna was born and reared in Mamou, LA. She was a graduate of Mamou High School and The Gradwohl School of Laboratory Technology in St. Louis, MO. Following her time at Gradwohl, Lee Anna worked as a Certified Medical Technologist at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital in Sulphur, LA; Triangle Medical Group in Port Arthur, TX and Hamilton Medical Group & University Medical Center, both of Lafayette, LA; and as a Laboratory Research Assistant at Auburn University. Lee Anna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved the Lord and was ready to meet him when he called her home. She loved gardening, fishing (catching Lee Anna fish), painting, drawing and needlework. In addition, she enjoyed traveling and supporting her husband at Rotary functions. Her secret to staying mobile and steady was doing Tai Chi. She was caring and always had encouraging words for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Dr. Huey S. McCauley of Lafayette; children, Shawn McCauley of Lafayette, Michael E. McCauley (Tobi) of The Woodlands, TX, and Sheila M. Robson (Don) of Lafayette; grandsons, Kyle McCauley (Madeline) of Austin, TX and Kevin McCauley of Houston, TX; great-grandson, Patrick McCauley of Austin, TX; sister, Mary Manuel Faulk (Gene) of Cecilia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Bathilde Manuel; and sisters, Nell Manuel Ward (Frank) and Ursula "Sis" Manuel Savoy (Lloyd). The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Monday, November 10, 2025 beginning at 10:00 AM. A Rosary will be prayed at 12:00 PM in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue, following the Rosary, until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Shawn McCauley, Michael McCauley, Kyle McCauley, Kevin McCauley, and Don Robson. The family wishes to acknowledge the outstanding care provided by the staff at Ochsner LGMC Trauma ICU and at Hospice of Acadiana - Calcutta House.
