Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 2, 2015, at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel, Scott, LA, for Leola "La La" Breaux, 88, who passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at her home in Scott. Interment will be held in St. Peter Cemetery in Carencro. Reverend Monsignor Russell Harrington, Pastor of St. John Berchman Catholic Church in Cankton, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services . La La was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She greatly missed her husband, who passed away suddenly, and cared for her mother for eighteen years. After graduating from Scott High School in 1945, she continued social gatherings with her classmates. She loved playing bourre and her search word puzzles, decorating and baking sweets for the holidays. She would be sure to dress up just in case someone would call her to go shopping or out to eat. She enjoyed spending time with her family, but especially enjoyed the time she had with her dog, Babe and watching game shows with him. La La will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her five daughters, Patsy Babineaux and her husband Charles, Barbara Breaux and her husband Shannon, Faye Menard, Sandra Babineaux and Connie Breaux; ten grandchildren, Chris, Mike, Michelle, Danielle, Bryan, Chip, Shane, Billy, David and Bradley; twenty great grandchildren, Leighton, Dustin, Brittnie, Chandler, Cameron, Reagan, Paige, Alex, Brooke, Blake, Bailey, Trent, Lindsey, Daylan, Dayton, Landan, Layton, Cohen, Reese and Miles; four great-great grandchildren, Ashton, Addison, Karsen and Emery; and nieces and nephews, Judy, Ann, Danny, Maria and Yvonne. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chester P. Breaux; parents, Clement and Malize Schexnayder Hernandez; two siblings, Bod and Pete; one grandchild, Brandon; and one great grandchild, Summer. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, February 1, 2015 in Delhomme Funeral Home in Scott from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. A Rosary will be prayed at 1:00 PM (French) and at 7:00 PM (English) on Sunday in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Bryan, Chris, Chip, Shane, Bradley and Blake. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy, Mike, David, Dustin, Chandler and Leighton.
