Lorenda Kaye Guidry

Funeral services will be held at a 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 4, 2009 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Lorenda Kaye Guidry, 42, who passed away on May 30, 2009 at 5:00 AM at her residence in Lafayette surrounded by her family. Interment will take place in Fountain Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Reverend F. Hampton Davis, Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Bren T. Hash, Kasey Ichard and Brandi Ichard. Giftbearers will be Brittany Thayer, Taylor Frazier and Loren Hebert. Survivors include two daughters, Morgan Lee Guidry and Madison Lynn Guidry; her mother, Beverly Jagneaux and her step-father Russell Jagneaux; three sisters, Julie Delcambre of New Iberia, LA, Stefani Rabenbauer of Parkland, FL, and Cheryl Broussard of Grand Chenier, LA; eight brothers, Loren Pourciau, Jr. of New Iberia, LA, Scott Payne of Picayune, MS, Greg Pourciau of New Iberia, LA, Theran T. Hash of Lafayette, LA, Patrick Pourciau of Breaux Bridge, LA, Parrish Payne and Jerrod Ichard, both of Lafayette, LA and Jason Payne of Baton Rouge, LA. She was preceded in death by her father, Loren Val Pourciau. A native to Lafayette, Lorenda's zest for life was evident to all she encountered. Her contagious smile and enthusiasm endeared many. Her heart with no limitation fostered love, forgiveness, kindness and comfort without any expectations for reward. As a parent, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend she taught us volumes and will continue to strengthen us forever more. Pallbearers will be Scott Payne, Theran T. Hash, Parrish Payne, Jerrod Ichard, Jason Payne, Russell J. Jagneaux, Kaleb Ledger, Triston T. Hash and Hunter Norman. A Rosary will be prayed on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 6:00 pm in the Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 10:00 am until time of services at Delhomme Funeral Home in Lafayette.
