Lori Muhar Gabal

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Trinity Bible Church for Lori Lynne Gabal, 66, who passed away on February 11, 2023 at her home. Pastor Dennis Malcolm will conduct the funeral services. Lori, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Victor Rudolph Muhar and the former Bernice Clara Jensen. She was a graduate of West Allis High School in West Allis, WI. Upon graduation, Lori met the love of her life, Phillip Bailey Gabal, while on her senior trip to Marathon, Florida. There was no doubt, in her mind, that he was to be her forever shipmate. Phil and Lori married within a few weeks and began a glorious 47-year voyage; no matter rough water or smooth sailing, they never looked back. She and Phillip lived on a sailboat in the Florida Keys then moved to New Orleans where she worked as a Real Estate Agent. They settled down in Lafayette where they raised their children, became the thoughtful wife, mother, aunt, friend, and church member who never was afraid to pray for others. Lori adored her grandchildren who will dearly miss her. She is survived by her children, Kyle Phillip Gabal, Lynne Gabal Neustrom and her husband, Thomas; grandchildren, Michael, Dylan, and Nathan Neustrom; her mother, Bernice Clara Muhar; siblings, Vicky Lore, and Andrew Muhar; brother in law, Steve Gabal; sister in law, Cheryl Gabal; nieces, Gabrielle Gabal, Jillian Gabal, and Jamie Veverica; nephews, Michael Lore, Joseph Lore, and Andrew Lore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Bailey Gabal; father, Victor Rudolph Muhar; father in law, James P. Gabal; mother in law, Vera Collins Gabal. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Trinity Bible Church, 130 East Broussard Rd., Lafayette, LA 70503, on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
