Mary Maisie Molett

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 28, 2006 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Mary Maisie Stansbury Molett, 90, who passed away Monday, September 25, 2006 at her residence. Reverend Cyprian Eze, Associate Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Church will conduct the funeral services. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Molett was the daughter of the late Martin Stansbury and the former Evelyn Guidry both of Abbeville. She served many years as a volunteer at Lafayette General as a Pink Lady, a Lay Eucharistic Minister and in the Emergency Room. She loved sharing her miniature roses. She had been an active genealogist and was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and Dames of the Magna Center. Along with her husband she avidly supported academics at UL Lafayette. Survivors include two daughters, Melissa 'Missy' Guilliot and her husband, Ogden C. 'Danny' Guilliot of Lafayette, and Elizabeth 'Liz' McKinney and her husband, J. Michael 'Mike' McKinney of Bristol, New Hampshire; five grandchildren, Dawn McKinney and her husband, James 'Jamie' Burnett of Washington, DC, Jason McKinney and his wife, Elizabeth of Boston, MA, Jennifer Ward and her husband, William of Chicago, IL, Grant Robicheaux of New Orleans, and Blair Robicheaux of Chicago, IL; one step grandson, Daniel Guilliot and his wife, Julie of Lafayette; and one great granddaughter, Grace Burnett. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Grant Hamilton Molett; and two brothers, McCoy and Mack Fulton Stansbury. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and continue Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited Wednesday at 6:30 PM in the funeral home. Pallbearers will include Ogden C. 'Danny' Guilliot, III, J. Michael 'Mike' McKinney, Daniel Guilliot, Grant Robicheaux, Jason McKinney, William 'Bill' Ward, and James 'Jamie' Burnett.
