Norman Lee Duhon Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved father, Norman Lee Duhon, Sr., 78, who left us for his rightful place with our Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 29th, 2024. His generosity of spirit, infectious smile, charming wit, and love for all will live forever in our hearts and memories. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Dulas Duhon and Rose Marie Faulk Duhon, and his sister, Betty Boudreaux. He is survived by his sister, Agnes Broussard and brother Carroll Duhon. Norman also leaves behind his children, April Garsson (Jordyn Garsson and Hunter Garsson), Ashley and Danny Deal (Tanner Deal and Addison Deal), Norman Lee Duhon Jr. and his wife Lisa Duhon (Nathan Duhon, Sarah Friday, Zachary Friday, and Mitchell Friday). Norman is also survived by his partner in life, Patsy Monteilh, and her son, Jude Duhon (Ashlee Duhon Halbert and Andrew Halbert, parents of Nora and Stella Halbert). Norman was a devoted father and grandfather, always available for advice and there whenever needed. Known for his wisdom and advice, Norman could offer a fresh perspective that always seemed to make things better. Generous to a fault, it was said he would give the coat off his back to a person in need. Norman’s heart was huge, and his love for his family was boundless. He stayed connected with his loved ones daily, and Patsy was his greatest joy, with whom he shared many laughs and conversations. Norman cherished card games, particularly Euchre and Booray, and secretly loved their cat, Winston. His legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will be carried forward by those who knew and loved him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in his honor at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 6, 2024 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 8700 Maurice Ave., Maurice, LA 70555. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Maurice on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A Rosary will be prayed at 1:00 PM Friday afternoon in the funeral home. Serving as Pallbearers: Tanner Deal (Grandson), Danna Scott Duhon (Godson), Jude Duhon (Stepson), Nathan Duhon (Grandson), Dane Hebert (Close Friend), and Ross Garsson (Son in Law). Honorary Pallbearers: Kern Broussard (Nephew), Troy Broussard (Godson), Hubert Faulk (Uncle/Godfather), and Hunter Garsson (Grandson).
