Patricia Ann Eckholt Brenham

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 13, 2025 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Patricia Ann Eckholt Brenham, 79, who passed away on October 9, 2025. Rev. Peter Johnson, Pastor of Trinity Anglican Church, will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park. Mrs. Brenham, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Paul Thomas Eckholt and the former Lilly Doris Mouton. Born and raised in Lafayette, Patricia graduated from Northside High School - Class of 1963. Upon graduation, she traveled to Germany, where her step-father was stationed in the Army. In 1964, Patricia returned to Lafayette, where she met and married the father of her children, Gerald Derouen. In 1984, Patricia moved to Palmer, AK, after reconnecting with the love of her life, David Brenham. She remained there for 10 years before returning to Lafayette after David retired. Patricia worked for Van Eaton Realty and Coldwell Bankers, until her retirement in 2012. Patricia was an avid reader, loved WWII history, and Louisiana history. She and her children took many trips exploring the antebellum homes & ruins of Louisiana. Patricia especially enjoyed the 16 years of her "YaYa" group, spending the week on Lake Sam Rayburn every year in April. With her family spread across the States, she treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Patricia was a devoted member of Trinity Anglican Church and serving on the Vestry of the church. She leaves behind a legacy of love & devotion to her children and friends; she will be dearly missed. She is survived by her children, Shelley D. (Charmaine Romero) LaSalle, Joey (Asdis) Derouen, and Christy D. (Jason) DelGuidice; grandchildren, Hayden Derouen, Emily McKellar, Haley Derouen, Jack McKellar, and Mel Romero; and lifelong friend & "sister", Jackie Mitchell Gaubert. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Brenham; parents, Paul Thomas Eckholt and Lilly Doris Mouton Hebert; and half-brother, Lee Hebert. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Monday, October 13, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM. Pallbearers will be her family & friends. The family would like to thank Southern Grace Hospice for the compassionate care given to Patricia in her time of need. Special thanks to Jackie Mitchell Gaubert, her dearest friend & "sister", for everything she has done for Patricia and her family.
