Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 15, 2024 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers - Bertrand for Patricia Romero Delcambre, 52, who passed away on July 11, 2024. Reverend Chris Fusilier will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Tricia was a native of Lafayette and a resident of Youngsville. "Those we love never truly leave us. There are things that death cannot touch" We would like everyone to hold on to Tricia's zest for life. She had the heart of a Saint, helping others when they needed anything. The main thing she strongly encouraged was togetherness of family. Tricia always had get togethers at her house for her family and friends. "Her love for life, made Tricia the life of the party." She liked talking to everyone, especially strangers. Everyone loved her. Tricia was an amazing cook, loved to dance, bouncing around to all sorts of music. Tricia and her sister Debbie loved to Jitter bug together. She was an amazing pool player, that played in pool leagues: APA mainly, for most of her life. She loved going to her camp for boat riding, fishing, playing cards, going out to bars and enjoying music and playing pool. She loved her time spent at the Casino. "She always bragged that she won more than her husband". Tricia is the concrete that held the family together. She always enjoyed getting together to play cards. Tricia is a strong spirit that has overcome setbacks in her life "a cat with 9 lives". She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Tricia has forever changed the lives of everyone she knew. "In the hearts of those who loved you, you will always be there". "As you were, you will always be, treasured forever in our memory". "I keep in my heart the love of the past, for there it was planted forever to last." Your presence we miss, you memory we treasure, loving you always, forgetting you never". She is survived by her husband, Brian Delcambre; parents, Herman and Patsy Stelly; children, Cody Olivier, and Dylan Romero; a niece she raised as her daughter, Farin Long and husband, Mike; granddaughter, Lexi Ashy; siblings, William David (Leila) Stelly, Wilson John (Angela) Walker, Kristina Walker, Randi (Billy Bob) Hunt, and Katie (Coy) Burke; in-laws, Marline and Michael Delcambre as well as 9 nieces and 4 nephews, 4 great nieces, 2 great nephews, and 2 great great nieces. She was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Stelly Moreau. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 9:00 am until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Wilson John Walker, Coy Burke, Logan Burke (God Child), Billy Bob Hunt, Jake Hedrick, and Tyler Moreau. She was thankful to her loved ones who took care of her; husband, Brian, mother, Patsy, son, Dylan, sister, Katie, sister-in-law, Leslie, and Jance.
